Disney studios had been struggling to find an actor for the role of "Aladdin" for their motion film, Aladdin. According to media reports, filmmaker Guy Ritchie has finalized Bollywood actor Siddharth Gupta who made his debut in Bollywood film, Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi, in 2014. Actor Siddharth Gupta is the younger brother of producer & screen writer Vikas Gupta. According to Bollywood Life website, who reached out to both Vikas and Disney, this story is not true. Aladdin’s remake will be directed by Guy Ritchie while Will Smith is confirmed to be playing Genie in the movie. After the success of The Beauty & The Beast and The Jungle Book's live action movies, Disney had plans to remake 1992 animated classic, Aladdin. Aladdin's hunt is still on as Disney is unable to find an adventurous actor in his 20's, who can sing and dance as Aladdin would be a musical romantic adventure with plenty of scope for songs. Disney has unleashed a global search to cast Aladdin for their upcoming motion & priority is given to newcomers who belongs to Middle Eastern or Indian origin.
