Ae Dil Hai Mushkil: An “unrequited" love movie

This year’s most awaited love story of Bollywood, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil written & director by Karan Johar based upon love, friendship & heartbreak was released yesterday on 28th October 2016.

In Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Karan Johar has casted Aishwarya Rai Bacchan & Anushka Sharma for the first time under his directorial with other stars; Ranbir Kapoor, Fawad Khan & Shah Rukh Khan in a guest appearance. The main story plot of the unrequited love movie is about the journey of three characters known as Ayan, Alizeh & Saba. In the movie, Ranbir Kapoor falls in love with Anushka Sharma, but his soul mate Anushka doesn’t reciprocate the feeling. Later, a relationship with Aishwarya helps Rabir realize Anushka’s value in his life, irrespective of their relationship status. Anushka Sharma plays the role of Alizeh, a well-rounded character while actor Ranbir plays the role of Ayan who is a singer & the beauty queen Aishwarya is seen from the role of Saba, an independent divorcee who is in search of true love. The music of the movie is directed by music composer Pritam Chakraborty with lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya while the music rights are acquired by Sony Music Entertainment. The movie which is deeply based on relationships, was shot across the exotic locations of New Delhi, London, New York and Paris. The movie which has been made at an approximate budget of Rs 70 crore with about Rs 10-15 crore spent on promotions, comes with superb production values, songs, background score & a great screenplay in the so-called “KJo Style”.  

With its first show yesterday, director Karan Johar's movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has received positive reviews from the audience while some Indian movie critics’ describes the movie as the most grown up movie by Karan Johar yet as it is a fresh triangular love-breakup story portraying the perfect picture of modern-day relationships.
