China has ratified a law named "Elderly Rights Law" which fines & jails personals who do not visit their own parents. According to Chinese official authourities. this law ensures a solution for the isolated elderly population of the Asian country. Chinese new law requiring people to visit or keep in touch with their elderly parents came into force Monday, as China faces increasing difficulty in caring for its aging population. Elderly Rights Law states that personals should care their elder aged parents and they should not be left isolated without assistance. After this law was ratified this Monday, a vast number of chinese citizens has poured negative comments on the law through internet websites. As the "Elderly Rights Law" lacks proper procedures and exact no of days to visit to the elder parents by their childrens, many chinese citizens opens their question of a method to enforce this law properly at internet forums. As China remains one of the highest elder population in the world, their welfare has been a real time issue raised in Chinese society. Although respect for the elderly is deeply engrained in Chinese society, this law has been amended in last year's December following frequent reports of elderly parents neglected by their children. China remains world's most populous country, with a population of over 1.35 billion. According to figures from the Chinese National Committee On Aging, the number of people aged 60 and above in China is expected to jump from the current 185 million to 487 million, or 35 per cent of the population, by 2053.
