A robbery day in my life

Today 15th February 2012 I woke up early morning as usual to get ready to start my day with my job. Suddenly I found some of my items missing which I kept at my room’s table last night as I felt sleepy. Yes, my new mobile and normal Nokia mobile, my new mobile’s USB jack plus my wallet with 100 rufiyaa, ID card and Visa debit card was stolen. I have reported the case to the Maldives Police Service now.  I wish they can at least find my “Xperia”.

Before a week at 05th February 2012 I had a new mobile phone. It’s an Xperia mini pro a series of Sony Ericsson brand. I bought it from the Dhiraagu Mobile shop at henveiru majeedhee magu. Dhiraagu is the largest mobile operator in Maldives. I do trust their products at their show room other than the other mobile shops in Male’ City. I have been tricked by the famous “Ell mobile” shop by selling me a “fake” Sony Ericsson battery once. It was too late to change it for money when I recognized that it was a fake. Thanks for the Sri Lankan whom I met from a phone repairing shop that compared and showed me the difference between an original one and the fake one.

The price of this mobile is Mrf 3800. I paid Mrf 228 which is 6 percent of the price of mobile as Goods and Service Tax (GST). So totally I paid Mrf 4028 to the Dhiraagu shop for the mobile. Now let’s look at some good features of this mobile. First of all this one is a color display mobile. The model number of this mobile is XPERIA X10 mini pro. The battery life of this mobile is: Li-Po 930 mAh. This one has a weight of: 120 gg. This is also a dual band network mobile with a TFT capacitive display. The dimensions of the mobile are 90 x 52 x 17 mm. This mobile has a microSD memory. This mobile supports 3G network and has got a 5 mega pixel camera. Wireless technology is also a feature in this mobile with a stereo Bluetooth which helps to transfer data easily from one mobile to another. Furthermore the mobile supports Wi-Fi, FM radio, photo messaging, email, GPRS and MP3 file format. So that goes the most interesting features I have known about this mobile.

This mobile is the 6th mobile phone which I am buying since I finished school and started my job life. I prefer Sony Ericsson brand mobiles as I find a user friendly interface in them. I had borrowed the finance to buy this mobile from a friend of mine. He agreed for the way I requested to pay back the money for him in a monthly installment basis within 3 to 4 months. I have been bored carrying the normal Nokia mobile for about 3 months since my last Sony Ericsson mobile got expired at last year’s December mid. Maldivians use to name this mobile as “Nokia bahthi” as this one has got a white light at the top end of the mobile. Anyhow my happy mood is gone now. I missed about more than 3 months without any connection to the online world. It made me feel very sad plus double boring and again the same situation. Next is the aim to pay back the money back to my friend as we agreed. It’s totally a waste and no use for me.  May god help me fulfill this debt as soon as possible? I will never forget this dark day of my life. I’ll never forget this “robbery day”. I miss you
