The recipient of the Golden Pen passes away

State dignitary and one of the key individuals in the road to independence of Maldives, Mr. Abdu Sattar Moosa Didi has passed away yesterday at Friday, 27th November at 79 years of age in Bangkok, Thailand.  Mr. Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi who was the recipient of the Golden Pen that signed our declaration of independence, began his employment in the Government of Maldives on 5th February 1957. Holding a number of ministerial portfolios Late Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi has served the Government for more than 50 years. Late Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son. Following the passing away of Abdul Sattar Moosa Didi, President Yameen has declared that the National Flag be flown at half-mast, from Saturday, 28th November 2015 till the end of Monday, 30th November 2015.
