Classic Studio Portraiture, The Portrait Gallery in association with Simdi office automation has started a special Photography Workshop for Kids from 17^th to 24^th March during these school term holidays. This is a practical digital Photography workshop for kids aged 8-15 years but especially for beginners & those who already own or use digital cameras.

Portrait Gallery founded since 1997, has been serving our Maldivian community by photographing classic studio portraits of babies, children, families, brides & grooms, graduates & executives. Contents of this photography workshop for kids includes: Understanding camera modes and buttons, Camera handling techniques , Practical photo shoots, Viewing and feedback on how to improve photos and the qualities of what it makes a good photo. The lecturer of this workshop is the professional photographer who is the founder of “The Portrait Gallery”, Mr. Yassin Hameed. Mr. Yassin is a UK trained professional photographer with over 25 years’ experience. In national recognition of his contribution to photography in Maldives, Mr. Yassin was awarded the prestigious Presidential Award at the year 2006.

In this workshop by Portrait Gallery the Participants will compile & print a portfolio of their best 10 photos taken during the workshop. According to the official Face book page of Portrait Gallery, participants of this workshop will receive an exclusive booklet containing tips for better photography & a certificate of participation at the end of the workshop. So those who had enrolled their children in this adventurous workshop have let their children to discover the joy of photography during these term holidays. Hope the kids of this workshop will be creative with their own skilful personal touches after this workshop.
