Modi's historical first "Dhivehi Tweet"



For the very first time Indian Prime Minister Honorable Mr. Narendra Modi has tweeted in "Dhivehi", the official mother language of Maldives. 
The 14th Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi's first dhivehi tweet came after tweeting a video song titled 'Vaishnava Jana To' which was sung by two local artists on the occassion of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Indian activist who was the leader of the Indian independence movement against British rule & known as the father of the multi ethnic nation. Mr. Modi's first tweet in Dhivehi language says, 'Vaishnava Jana To' this song is sung by talented Maldivian singers Mohamed Shahid and Mariyam Waheeda. Also that Gandhi's policy on peace , sustainable development and clean environment can be seen in the lifestyle of Maldives. 

The song 'Vaishnava Jana To' is known as the favorite song of Gandhi which was written in the 15th century by the poet Narsinh Mehta. This song which has been sung by many artists across continents centers around the idea of human empathy & sensitivity towards the suffering of others. India's independence leader Gandhi's philosophy is based on 3 principles: non-violence, the fight for truth & individual & political freedom.
