Brazil's first female President has been impeached from office by country’s senate vote of  61-20 yesterday, finding her guilty of breaking budgetary laws. She was accused of moving funds between government budgets, which is illegal under Brazilian law. However the 36th President of Brazil Ms. Dilma Rousseff said that she had committed no crime & described the impeachment as a parliamentary coup. Ousting the economist Ms. Rousseff by the nation's senate puts an end to the 13 years in power of her left-wing Workers' Party. Mr. Michel Temer who was the Vice President of Brazil under Rousseff from January 2011 has been sworn in as the 37th President of Brazil and will serve out Ms Rousseff's term until 1st January 2019. He had been serving as the acting President of the nation since 12th May 2016, when Ms. Dilma Rousseff was suspended from office to face the impeachment trial.
