Asus Zenfone 6: My 9th mobile phone

Last Friday 15^th January 2015, I have bought a new mobile as my last mobile Sony Xperia J (model: ST26i) has completely lost its display about week ago. After being remaining as a fan of Sony Ericsson brand mobiles & lately mobiles from Xperia series, I’ve changed my mobile brand to Asus. Yes, it’s an Asus Zenfone 6 (model: A600CG) this time.

Before selecting this brand of Asus, I’ve been checking its features comparing it to the Sony Xperia series for sometime via internet websites. I’ve also been contacting almost all the mobile phone shops of Male’ City to compare the prices of Asus & Sony Xperia. Atlas Asus has won my survey, & I went to one of the outlets of Smart phone to purchase the Zenfone 6. I paid Mvr 4240/- including the tax to Smart phone as a total payment to purchase my new Asus mobile. Zenfone 6 which was officially released to the world market at the May 2014 has got GSM/ HSPA technology. The body dimensions of the mobile are 166.9 x 84.3 x 9.9 mm (6.57 x 3.32 x 0.39 in) while the weight is 196 g (6.91 oz). Zenfone 6 supports dual sim (Micro-SIM, dual stand-by) while its display type is IPS capacitive touch screen, 16M colors. The size of the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 mobile is 6.0 inches (~70.5% screen-to-body ration) with resolution 720 x 1280 pixels. The operating platform of Zenfone 6 is Android OS, v4.3 (Jelly Bean), upgradable to v4.4.2 (KitKat), chipset is Intel Atom Z2580, CPU is Dual-core 2 GHz & GPU is PowerVR SGX544MP2. Zenfone 6 has got a card slot memory which supports microSD, up to 64 GB while the mobile holds an internal memory of 8/16/32 GB, 1/2 GB RAM. The camera of this mobile has 13 MP, 4128 x 3096 pixels, autofocus, LED flash while the features includes Geo tagging, touch focus, face detection & panorama.  The secondary camera has got 2 MP and the video quality is 1080p@30fps. The mobile has a got a loudspeaker with a jack of 3.5mm while alert types as vibration, MP3, WAV ringtones is also included. Zenfone 6 has got sensor features of Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass while SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Email, IM are also supported. The battery is Non-removable Li-Po 3300 mAh battery (12 Wh), which has got a stand-by Up to 398 h (3G)& a talk time Up to 28 h (3G).

This mobile is the 9^th mobile phone which I’ve bought since I finished school and started my job life. The phone comes in visually appealing colors such as Champagne Gold, Cherry Red, Charcoal Black and Pearl White. But I’ve chosen the color black which has always been one of my dearest color. Though the Asus Zenfone 6 is a big mobile in size this mobile ensures a comprehensive entertainment package through its HD display & good sound quality.  I just hope that I have chosen the best smart phone in a mid range budget which fits the needs of the 21^st century.
