Humnasheen: Shreya Ghoshal's first ghazal album

The indian playback singer Shreya Ghoshal  who mainly sings in Hindi and Bengali films who turned 30 years on Wednesday 12th March has launched her first gazal album titled “Humnasheen” which means lover or beloved. I have been a fan of ghazals, but I had never thought I would take it up as my first step into the non-film world. But now that I have done it, I am happy that this was the step I took first, doing something which is equivalent to good poetry and soulfulness  said the singer who is one of the most versatile Indian female singers of this generation at the launch of her ghazal album. Shreya who started her singing career at the age of 16 with regional music albums & devotional songs said that ghazals gives her a chance to do something that she can’t do in films. Shreya Ghoshal's Bollywood playback singing career began with the song 'Bairi piya' for the movie Devdas of director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, for which she received a National Film Award for Best Female Playback SingerFilmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer, and a Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent. Since then Shreya who is a bengali who charmed the world with her sweet voice on Zee TV's "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa show"  has received many other awards in her successful singing career.
