An emergency discussion meeting of Arab foreign ministers in the position by Egypt has been assembled on yesterday (Wednesday) at the Egyptian capital Cairo based Arab League headquarters to discuss the latest developments of the Syrian issue regarding the ongoing armed conflict in Syria between forces loyal to the Syrian Ba'ath Party government and those seeking to oust it. A contingent of the Syrian opposition took part in the meeting to discuss the preparations for the international Geneva II conference. According to an official source of the League of Arab States or Arab League, this meeting will challenge the recent developments in Syria, where the dispute has reached dangerous intensification of murdering and bloodshed, terrorizing, all efforts influencing to resolve the confrontation politically. The conflict began on 15 March 2011, with popular demonstrations that grew nationwide by April 2011 as a part of the well know "Arab Spring". The Arab foreign ministers will also re-examine the results of the recent meeting of Arab Ministerial Committee which was held at Syria on May 23 in these discussions. Also this discussion is to highlight the Arab agreed-upon perception that will be hosted at the international Geneva II conference. The Arab League is a regional organization of Arab states in and around North Africa and Southwest Asia which was founded in Cairo in the year 1945 by Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan and Yemen.
