Political leaders of the European country Bulgaria raises concerns &
questions over their self protection & safety after a recent
attempt by a gunman who tried to kill the head leader of a political
party which was on-aired live on Television. The leader of
Bulgaria’s Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF), Ahmed Dogan was pointed a
gun at a live televised conference on last week's Saturday by a man who
jumped out of the crowd. The security guards of Ahmed Dogan wrestled
the man who tried to attack the leader of MRF to the ground at quick
reaction. According to Dogan’s security guards this man has
attempted to fire Ahmed Dogan twice but to his bad luck the gun is
said to be “jammed”. MRF at one of it's party congress on Sunday said that it wanted police to investigate who was the "political mastermind" behind the attack. The security officials of Bulgaria has
identified this man as Oktay Enimehmedov, an ethnic Turk from the Black Sea town
of Burgas. MRF accused the police and security services of failing to protect Ahmed Dogan. Lyutvi Mestan, who replaced Dogan as MRF party leader on previously this Saturday called for nternational investigation and said that the main goal of such investigation should focus on finding out who the political mastermind of this attack was. Ahmed Dogan who led MRF for 23 years was given the honorary chairman of the party this Saturday at the congress. According to my online friend from Romania who is
currently studying journalism reports me today through the mobile
social network Qeep, that Bulgaria has tightened the security of top
government officials after this incident. The liberal MRF party represents ethnic Turks and
other Muslims who make up about 12 percent of the Balkan country's
population of 7.3 million.
