Fomer President Maumoon joins "Twitter" on his 75th birthday

Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom who was a the former President of the Maldives from 1978 to 2008, has joined the famous Twitter community yesterday in his 75th birthday. Maumoon joined twitter as a user name @maumoonagayoom with his name Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom. His first tweet message was tweeted at 28th December 2012 yesterday at 10:04 PM. He specialized his first historical tweet message to send well wishes to all the beloved people of Maldives.

Until this duration of today Maumoon has tweeted 7 messages while 2024 people are following Maumoon. Currently at to this moment Maumoon only follows the official group of his party which has a ID name as @progressiveprt. Almost everyone who is following Maumoon has wished well wishes and greetings to him on his 75th birthday while others welcomed him to the famous social network Twitter. Gayoom's tenure was marked by several allegations of corruption as well as allegations of autocratic rule, human rights abuses and corruption, charges that he still denies. Gayoom had been criticized by both Maldivian & international media and opposition parties as a "autocratic dictator".
