Arc a non government organization to protect and
promote the rights and well-being of children in the Maldives and to make
Maldives a society where every child has the support they need to be healthy,
stay safe and enjoy and achieve, has launched its official website on last
Friday 06th April 2012 in association to celebrate the World Health
Day - 7 April 2012. The website www.arc.org.mv contains specific
information for parents, schools and children.
Since its beginning ARC has been working in collaboration with
Government authorities and like-minded organizations, to lead the advocacy
efforts. Advocating the Rights of Children (ARC) was established to spark the
change that will make a lasting difference to the lives of children in the
Maldives as Children have been victims of abuse, abandonment, addiction and
apathy for far too long and violations of children’s rights have been
increasing at an alarming rate in the Maldives. Advocate means to speak or
write in favor of; support or urge by argument or recommend publicly while ARC
believes advocacy as an act of supporting a cause. ARC’s head
office is located at M.Nooraaneeage (2nd Floor) in the famous Orchid
road of Male’ City. ARC could be
telephone and faxed via the number: (+960) 3326367. Also the NGO could be
mailed through info@arc.org.mv.
If you would like to join ARC in their efforts, you can make a difference by
becoming a member of ARC
