Islam has a lunar based calendar with 354 days. The New Year date also changes every year as the Islamic Calendar is 11 days shorter than the solar calendar. Islamic New Year is celebrated on the first day of Muharram (first Islamic month). The word Muharram also means respect. It is more of a cultural event than a New Year celebration. UN Human rights high commissioner giving a lecture at Maldives Parliament

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay, who is constantly clashing with Sri Lanka over human rights issues, has  arrive to Maldives on Tuesday, 22 November 2011 ( Today ).  This is among her week long visit to the Asia continent. Ms Pillay will be in the Maldives until Thursday. She has currently met with President Mr. Mohamed Nasheed, senior ministers, political party leaders, the judiciary, Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM) and civil society organizations of Maldives. She has visited the parliament of Maldives and had given a public lecture on the subject of the need for a South Asian regional human rights body. Pillay's visit is the first such visit to the Maldives by a UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in the recent history of Maldives. Navanethem "Navi" Pillay was born 23 September 1941 and is the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. A South African she was the first  non white woman on the High Court of South Africa, and she has also served as a  judge of the International Criminal Court and President of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. Her four-year term as High Commissioner for Human Rights began on 1 September 2008. Pillay was born in 1941 in a poor neighborhood of Durban, South Africa. She is of Tamil descent and her father was a bus driver. She married Gaby Pillay, a lawyer, in January 1965. Supported by her local Indian community with donations, she graduated from the University of Natal with a BA in 1963 and an LLB in 1965. She later attended Harvard Law School, obtaining an LLM in 1982 and a Doctor of Juridical Science degree in 1988. Pillay is the first South African to obtain a doctorate in law from Harvard Law School

President Mohamed Nasheed has today opened the Equatorial Convention Centre (ECC) in Addu City expressing his gratitude to all the individuals who contributed to the successful completion of the Equatorial Convention Centre where this year's SAARC summit is to be held.  Equatorial Convention Centre is a convention centre which is located in Hithadhoo, of Addu atoll. Speaking at the opening ceremony of ECC, former chairperson of MDP said that the convention centre and other infrastructure developments in Addu city were examples of the growth and expansion of our beloved country which is pledged in his party's manifesto. Maldives first democratically elected President added that the advancements brought to Addu city will be “a billboard, a leaflet, and a poster” of the developmental goals set for the 7 regions of the Maldives. . Concluding his speech H.E Mohamed President Nasheed stated that SAARC Summit has greatly encouraged the various developmental projects in both Addu City and Fuvahmulah. Equatorial Convention Centre (ECC) was specially build for the seventeenth SAARC summit which is to be held in this year's November 2011 in Addu City and nearby Fuvahmulah island. The two-storey convention centre,has been built for the SAARC Summit with an Rf150 million budget.

Humans were born to different countries & different regions to get introduced and be known to each other. Upon this way humans keeps on spending their days of life in this world. But nobody knows whom he will meet upon the fate of the destiny. Surely, every human tries to find his life partner after growing up as an adult. Different people experience this trip in different ways through out their life. Sometimes it’s a unique experience to every human. As some people feel happiness in this trip, others spend this trip in sorrow, pain and vein. Later somehow they meet the queen of their dreams upon the fate of their destiny. When the two lovers find out their partner, this trip of life could not be ended yet. Even the distance of this trip cannot be shortened. The feelings in your heart should be expressed to your lover. From your pen and tongue also through email and sms. Using online chatting and through social networks. It is very easy to say that you love somebody from a sentence which consists of 3 words. Yes, from “I love you”. But most people does not understand the meaning of this 3 word sentence as easy they use to say it. Hence love is a romantic feeling which appears in two hearts which led’s to give a special post to your partner in your heart. Due to this post, trust forms between each other. It results to miss each other and makes difficult for one another to spend times without each other. Through this relationship they try to express each other how much they love each other. This is the stage that you are tested in the life of love. In every relationship of life trust is essential. The percentage of love between two lovers depends upon how much they trust each other. Without trust you can’t love anybody. Like wise without love you can’t trust somebody. It’s the law of love.  Everyone wants to express their love to their partner with a deep sense of meaning. That is the reason why people use to compare their lover to sun, stars and the lovely moon. The reason to light the face of the partner from the dim light of the moon is to express how much they love their partner.  After saying that you love your partner & pointing out your finger at the moon and defining that your lover is beautiful than the moon does not prove the love for your lover. Absolutely, saying that you love somebody is not enough. Showing the dreams that you will present stars from the universe for you lover does not prove the post in your heart for your lover. If you want to prove your love for your partner with the verse of “I love you”, then shape yourself such a way that makes your partner believe it. Make it your words, acts and attitudes through a heart full truth and honesty. Organize a heart of care and sympathy for your partner.  Then only comes the exact meaning of the verse “I love you”.  Saying “I love you” is not enough.
